50W BOOST BALLAST FOR D2 type P32d base HID lamp systems.

The new revolutionary 35W / 50W boost ballast design is capable of producing 5200-5700lm from a single high quality D2 type burner (for example: Philips D2S / Philips D2R, Philips MPXL-DL35, MPXL-DL50, MPXL-RP50, GE Xensation and Osram D2S / D2R, HTI S 35 / 12). This lumen gain is achieved by boosting the lamp(ballast) wattage from original 35W to amazing 50W with lumen gains from original 3200lm up to 5700lm from a single D2 burner!

High quality D2 gas discharge lamps (Philips, Osram, GE Xensation, Hella) used in Xenon automotive and other D2 applications are designed to withstand wattage rises / run-ups to 70W so the burning time (approx 2000hours with todays lamps) is not in any way compromised by this boosting application. The boosting is done by increasing the inner pressure of the lamp and via this producing more light power from a single burner unit.

For best results according to our knowledge GE XENSATION or Philips D2S / D2R burners should be preferred. You can have them from us with the ballasts if you wish.

The difference in light power and intensity is truly REMARKABLE between the 35W and 50W operation states. There is no question whatsoever about that!

Due to the systems remarkable lumen / power boost gain it is suitable for OFFROAD vehicle use in dricing or extralights / auxiliary lights and Xenon HID diving lamps / other portable applications where compact size and high efficiency is valued. The heat production is slightly increased but the ballast is still usable even in portable applications due to the lamps high efficiency and low heat production.

The ballast unit is not DOT or E-approved for road use.
The compact ballast size with separate starter (distance from ballast to starter approx. 50cm original, can be up to 10meters) makes also possible using this ballast in motorcycle xenon / snowmobile xenon applications and in competition use (enduro / track).

TECHNICAL NOTICE!

Metal halide lamps produce 5 times the light output of Halogen (90-95 lumens per watt compared to 20-25 lumens per watt), at a higher Kelvin color temperature. No filament to break in the lamp and better shock resistance than ordinary halogen lamps have. The efficient spectral characteristics of Metal Halide burners enable to project farther than any halogen or “xenon gas” equipped lights. The 3200 Lumen HID lamp operates at 4300 Kelvin. Can also be had in 6000K , 7000K and 8000K upon request.

-Lumens are how much light a lamp produces, the higher the number the brighter the light!
-Kelvin color temperature is the color of light the lamp produces, the higher the number the whiter the light resulting in truer colors and better Color Rendering CRI!
